My best romantic movies of all time

I know that romantic movies for some are lame and a waste of time. but for other who are romantic-at-heart, hopeless romantic and dreamers of a happily-ever-after love story, romantic movies are the portals for expressing what we are. Yes, we are. I won't deny that I'm one of the die-hard fans of romantic movies.

I've been watching romantic movies for years. And for those who call them sick, I'ma tell you to shut up! haha... The logic is, why would you watch it if you knew you hate it, right? So, since I don't have pictures yet of the topic that i was supposed to post tonight, I thought of sharing my favorite romantic movies at the same time give reviews on them. So I hope, you'll agree with me. lol.

Notting Hill (Julia Roberts & Hugh Grant)

William Thacker: 'I enjoyed the movie very much. I was just wondering, did you ever consider having more horses in   it?'
Anna Scott: 'Well, we would have liked to. But it was difficult, obviously, being set in outer space.'”

This movie is the most memorable movie that I've watched when I was a kid. At the age of 10, I already felt "kilig" of the scenes and most especially of the song. I like it because it doesn't show PG scenes. So it can be watched by children. The concept was really good and it also had comedic scenes so it's not a boring one too.

This movie made me realize that an ordinary person can be loved by a famous on who never even saw it coming. Until now, whenever I see this movie flicks on a cable channel, I'd rather feel like watching it AGAIN than studying for an exam for the afternoon.

Notting Hill boosted the hopes of avid fans out there. The hope that someday, their wish of being with their favorite star might come true out of the blue.

50 First Dates (Drew Barrymore & Adam Sandler)
Lucy: [to Henry] Can I have one last first kiss?

What if you'll fall in love with a person who would forget your name every 24 hours? Would you be too persevere to introduce who you are and start all over again every single day?

That's the main point of the story. Lucy (Drew Barrymore) got into an accident a year before Henry (Adam Sandler) met her. She might have survived but her memory didn't. The only things she can remember were the activities she did on the day she got into an accident. Everyday, she thinks that it's her father's birthday, that she paints a wall so she she do it, wash the plates and go to a restaurant for a breakfast. That seemed to be her daily routine. All the new things and people she encounter before her stock memory will be completely forgotten the next day, even her boyfriend.

It is kind'a surprising to think that 1 out of a thousand people (i guess) would have such kind of dilemma. But Henry didn't give up. At first, he was confused on why he was stabbed by Lucy the second day they met. But then again, when he found out that Lucy has an illness, he continued on getting to know her. Even if it takes him to introduce himself every 24 hours. He was a player before, but Lucy seemed to be the girl who had made him forget about playing around.

The story ended happily though. And Henry eventually found a way to make Lucy remember everything right after she woke up.  It's called 50 first dates because since Lucy can't remember anything, she always thought that it's her and Henry's first date every time they go out.

OMG! I feel like watching this movie again!

*Titanic (Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio)

Leonardo DiCaprio
(Jack): I'm the king of the world!

Believe it or not, I've only had the chance to watch Titanic 13 years after it was released on cinemas. haha! Damn horrible right? That's why, whenever my friends talk about this movie before, all I can do is to listen and do all my best to show interest on to their talk. All I thought was, the hell I care about Jack and Rose?! However, I admit I still wanna watch it.

So finally, 3 months ago, I decided to watch over the internet. When the movie played, I told myself, "so this is the movie they're all crazy about before". While watching the movie, I found myself being so in to it. Like I was one of the characters. Jack and Rose's story was indeed heart whelming; full of passion and love. They  justify the word, FATE.

"Love can touch us one time, and last for a lifetime", as it's theme song goes. That's what Jack and Rose showed. In the movie, you can greatly see the division between elites and poor. What I like about this whole Titanic thing is that, it's not just all about cruising and being being in love. But it also tells about the different scenarios in the world represented by the events inside the Titanic ship. It's also a tear-jerking movie! Trust me! Watching it made me fear the ocean more. haha! The ship's ending was a tragedy. And Jack and Rose's lovestory was just really inspiring and also had a really sad finale. That's what they say how a true love should be. Sacrificing.

A Walk To Remember ( Mandy Moore & Shane West)

Jamie: You have to promise you won't fall in love with me.
Landon: That's not a problem.

Who would expect that a bad boy like Landon would fall in love with a Pastor's kid Jamie?

Alright, this might be a typical bad-boy-meets-good-girl movie but its edge is, it showed that not all perfect relationships would last forever being together.

Jamie is sick. And her days were already numbered even before she went out with Landon. Being a Pastor's kid with no mother is surely the reason why she was aloof and still single. She never had a boyfriend since birth (oh well! we're alike. haha).

Landon on the other hand was not really the criminal type of bad boy. He has just no direction. He's arrogant. When he met Jamie, at first, he was completely irritated about her. She's not the type of girl he wished to be with.

To make the story short, the two got married even if Landon already discovered Jamie's condition. They never had the chance to spend a longer time being together as husband and wife 'coz Jamie died. Landon loved her a lot. But he did let her go. Jamie had not just been his true love but she's also the girl who completely changed his prospectives in life.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (Kate Hudson & Matthew McConaughey)

Andie: [Crying at restaurant after waitress asks if everything is okay] My boyfriend thinks I'm fat!
[
Flicks food at himAndie: And I can't eat in front of him! I can't eat in front of you! I have to go to the bathroom. Ben: [Receives dirty looks from other customers]
Honey, I don't think you're fat! I don't think she's fat!

Watching this movie would make you laugh to death and fall in love at the same time. This movie made me like Matthew and Kate as celebrities. They also look awesome together. By just reading the quote above, I know you would smile or laugh. Can you imagine two people who were just been going out because each of them has tasks to accomplish? And to add to it, they didn't know that they're fooling each other. And that they are fooling themselves. Andie (Kate) just went out with Ben (Matt) in order to have something to write on her article "How to Lose a Guy in 10 days". She has to annoy him for him to decide to break up with her. But in contrast, Ben had a modus too. He went out with Andie to prove that women are crazy about him. And to get an idea on what would be the perfect tagline for his company's Swarovsky  Diamond launch. Ironic isn't it?

However, both of them fell on the trap they made for each other. They fell in love.

I recommend you to watch this movie if you still didn't see it. It's awesome, I tell you. It's one of the best movies who would ease your stress and tickle your heart.

So that sounds it. I still have a row of movies in mind but I guess it would take me a day to finish it. lol...
